Artisan Award Project #10 Big Shot Pillow

Hop Project # 10 Big Shot/ Pillow

CHECK BELOW THIS POST
FOR BLOG CANDY details!!!!

I knew for one of my 3 D projects I wanted to make something with
material using my favorite thing ever...the Big Shot!
So...
I headed off to one of my very fave stops
Material Girls
(Nadine the owner and all the gals over there I love!;))

Right as I walked in I saw this fabric
And the fabric colors coordinated perfectly
with crushed curry, real red, choc chip & old olive. Seriously??
I knew I wanted to throw in a random color so I threw in Jean
and used Not quiet Navy too!
I washed the 2 blue materials after cutting to make those shabby and frayed up!
and left all the other colors clean and simple.

This was definitely my favorite project and was hard to part with.:(
I will have to make another one.
I think this time it might be fun just doing a small pillow using just these small scallop circle flowers
like 3 rows of 3 with buttons-I feel another project coming on!

I LOVE this stamp set!
I am a sucker for Vintage mixed with Shab and so I knew I had to have this set.
And of coarse I love tags...
It's all about the presentation right?
So I thought it might be cute to make a matching "tag" to give this as a gift.

"sew glad we're friends"

Tell me whatcha think?

I will be drawing one lucky winner for the blog candy
and announcing that first thing Monday!
Have a fabulous weekend ;)
and thanks to (all) of you for the sweet comments-you made my day (each day;)!!!
Each and every one...So nice!

:)TOODLES!

Nat you are just beautiful!!;)
This photo is stunning-

Boy was it fun to use!
I made each butterfly a little different.
And I mixed
(Whisper White and Very Vanilla)
Did anyone notice these two huge butterflies on the Right side
were missing on the display??
Yes I was bumbed to be honest but I'm not gonna pout!

Each butterfly was stamped to add
an elegant pattern and texture.
I also added
ribbon
pearls
simmer paint
glitter
Crystal Effects and chunky glitter
ya know-ALL the fun stuff!!

The border was made with this elegant designer paper.
and our fancy favor die!
Not JUST for box favors!:):)

And then finished by stenciling with our awesome shimmer paint and stencils
that's it!

Tell me what you think!

Hope you like!
and Thanks for looking!!

Sorry...this pic ( of my project )is pooey.
This is one of my best friends though!! I love her!
And the photographer was my Wedding Photographer as well.
She is a doll-just love ya Tiff!
So thanks Nat and Tiffanie for letting me submit these gorgeous photos!!
You can find her site here Tiffanie Mar

So the source of inspiration for this page was Natalie's actual colors for her
Wedding. Which were Black White and Yellow!
Even though I did just use Black and White pics...
It was such a statement to try and make a Wedding page with
those bold colors!!

My favorite part was making the butterflies all different.
Different layers of color and papers.
And I do love the stamp above-it is so elegant and pretty.
And for sure her Wedding was just that!

( A fairytale.) ;);)
Here is a pic to see the inspiration for it!

(Sorry if you checked Monday and Tuesday...I was having

For this page the picture right away made me think of
the stamp set I used ( Everything Nice)

I do have to admit-I really liked the color scheme!
And putting Red with Hot Pink
(Real Red and Pink Passion)
And the cool thing is this little girl is standing with
that fun (pink) shirt by that yummy (red) stained door!
I love not the norm sometimes!!
Keeps life fun right?

One of my favorite things about this page besides that it is
(all girl)..he he! Is the placement of hearts and buttons.

I like that one heart has something different-thus
breaking up the same pattern to your eye.
Something my up line Shanna Jensen pointed out as a fun trick! HUGS Shanna!
And the placement of buttons and Circles.
I really liked how they came together in the end.

To be honest I stewed over this page too long and almost
threw in the towel with it! But with some good sleep and a fresh
glance it finally came together in a completely different way-ever do that?
And ended up being one of my favorite pages!!

Hope you like!
and Thanks for looking!!

Artisan Award Project #6 "Wanted" Scrapbook Page

Hop Project # 6 "Wanted" Scrapbook page

CHECK BELOW THIS POST
FOR BLOG CANDY details!!!!

On to the Scrapbook Pages...

A great source of inspiration for a page is...of course...the photo
right?

So when doing my pages at the time for some reason I was under
the
impression we could not use personal photos ( I since then
understand that
I could have...)
but...
I loved using the cute pics I did anyway!
So thanks to my good friend/photographer
Nuttall Photography
for letting me submit her photos
and to the friendly and supportive families as well!!

Browsing through her pics I got so excited with the options but
when I saw this picture I knew it would go perfectly with the
"Wanted" Stamp Set.

Do cowboys come any c-u-t-e-r? ?
Oh and how he is holding his hat?

I actually love the earthy and distressed/textured look anyway...
so this page was fun to do!

When I think of cowboys I think of
boots
leather
metal accents
stars
lassos!

So this is what I came up with!

Tell me what you think!

Hope you like!
and Thanks for looking!!
